The Journey of Kase Shawarma
The journey of Kase Shawarma is one of passion, perseverance, and a love for good food that brings people together. It all began in 2010, back in Nigeria, when our brand was first known as Shawarma-Wama. It was a humble beginning—just a dream shared between twin brother and sister who had a flair for culinary creativity and a deep desire to serve something delicious and memorable.
Our very first outlet was set up at Redeemer’s University, where we quickly became a household name among students. We weren’t just selling shawarma, we were creating an experience. From handling student events to late-night cravings, Shawarma-Wama became a favorite for many, known for its rich flavors and consistency.
As our popularity grew, so did our opportunities. We formed a strategic partnership with the popular Bheerhugz Café, operating from their kitchens in two locations. This marked the beginning of our expansion, as we began reaching a wider audience and building a strong team. We trained and hired numerous staff members, growing not just a business, but a family of passionate food lovers.
While shawarma remained our specialty, our menu evolved to include a variety of offerings such as Asun (peppered goat meat), BBQ chicken and chips, and signature cocktail drinks. This diversification helped us serve more customers and cater to different tastes, while still maintaining the quality and originality we were known for.
Today, that once-small dream has grown beyond borders. We are proud to have rebranded and expanded our operations to Texas, USA, under the new name Kase Shawarma, a name that reflects our evolution and commitment to excellence. Though the name has changed, our mission remains the same: to serve mouth-watering meals, made with love, and rooted in culture.
